Itinerary
DAY 1: 24 August 2020 – Depart on overnight flight from US (air will not be available until October)
DAY 2: 25 August 2020 – Cead mile failte!Meet your Irish driver/guide in the arrivals hall and start your Irish journey. Stop for traditional tea & sconesand an opportunity to stretch your legs a little after your international flight. Next tour the beautiful coast of Co. Clare and the lunar landscapes of the Burren with a stop at the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South. The Cliffs of Moher take their name from a ruined promontory fort “Mothar” which was demolished during the Napoleonic wars to make room for a signal tower.

DAY 3: 26 August2020 – After breakfast embark on a tour of the Dingle Peninsula, home to some of Ireland’s most beautiful scenery. Journey along the spectacular ‘Slea Head’ enjoying dramatic coastal scenery along the way. Stop at the Blasket Center in Dún Chaoinon the tip of the Dingle Peninsula, right on the spot that the movie, “Far and Away” was filmed. The center celebrates the story of the Blasket Islanders. Return toEnnistymon with time to enjoy the town before dinner back at the hotel with the group.

DAY 4: 27 August 2020 – Depart Co. Clare this morning for Galway. Just outside Galway, we’ll visit the Connemara Celtic Crystal Factory where craftsmen demonstrate fine glass cutting. Arrive to the city for an orientation tour onboard the coach. Before dinner back at the hotel with the group.

DAY 5: 28 August 2020 – This morning travel west into the wild and wonderful Connemara region. First stop, Kylemore Abbey, one of the most photographed locations in Ireland. Visit the exquisite chapel and take a stroll through the restored Victorian walled gardens. Continue through Connemara with its lakes, mountains and breathtaking coastal scenery. Stop at Connemara Marble in Moycullen. Unique to the region,Geologists estimate this natural green rock is about 500 million years old. Return to Galway city with some time to explore the city at your own pace.

DAY 6: 29 August 2020 – GAME DAY! After breakfast, depart Galway and travel directly to Dublin City for the highlight of your tour. A stocked cooler and traditional music onboard the coach will make for a lively ‘tailgate party’ as you make your way to the game. Enjoy premier seating as you watch Navy take on Notre Dame in Dublin Ireland. After the game your coach will be available to transfer you to your hotel. Or you may prefer to continue the celebrations in one of Dublin’s many fine pubs.

DAY 7: 30 August 2020 – After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour around Dublin City. See elegant Georgian squares and houses, colorful parks, and bustling shopping areas. Visit Trinity College, one of the oldest centers of learning, dating to the 16th century. The library is home to the world-renowned 9th century Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript with meticulous artwork around the borders. Onward to the Guinness Storehouse, filled with 250 years of history and seven floors of exhibits. On the top floor enjoy a complimentary pint of Guinness and panoramic views of Dublin from the Gravity Bar. Dinner is on your own this evening. Say farewell to your driver/guide this evening. Tomorrow you are free to explore Dublin independently.

DAY 8: 31 August 2020 – Free Day! Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to explore Dublin as you wish.
