Flight Information

Group airfare is available in conjunction with this tour $1,289, with transportation by Aer Lingus Airlines from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Dublin (DUB).Current schedule details (subject to change) are published below. Connecting flights from your local airport may available at an additional cost, call our office for details.

Depart Dulles (IAD) on Aer Lingus Flight 118 on 30 June at 8:55 pm arriving Dublin (DUB) at 8:45 am on 1 July.

Return flight departs Dublin (DUB) on Aer Lingus flight 117 on 11 July at 12:35 pm arriving Dulles (IAD) at 3:40 the same day.

Those who prefer to make flight arrangements outside of the group flights above please take note.  You must be at Dublin airport at 8:30 am (early on July 1) to meet the driver and arriving guest to join this tour.  At the conclusion of the tour, you may utilize transportation to the Dublin airport with the group. Please book your return flight after 12:15 pm to ensure ample time for check in procedures.  Please provide flight details as early as possible to Isle Inn Tours.  Optional Pre-Night Accommodations are available,  please ask for details.

Sunday, June 30th

Depart on your overnight flight from the US to Dublin, Ireland. See flight details above.

Pre-nights or post-nights can be booked if you would like to extend your tour or start early to make sure you are well rested when the group tour begins. Should you avail of early/late stay, you will be responsible for making your way to/from the airport to your hotel.

Day 1
Monday, July 1

Céad míle fáilte!

Upon arrival at Dublin Airport, we will meet our Irish driver/guide in the Arrivals Hall along with any group members that have arrived early in Ireland for the tour.  Enjoy the scenic drive through lush green fields and charming villages. Our first stop is the historic Trim Castle, a majestic fortress dating back to the 12th century. Here, you’ll have the chance to stretch your legs, indulge in traditional tea and scones, and explore the castle’s impressive grounds. we’ll continue our journey westward, crossing the stunning Irish countryside. Arriving at the charming town of Westport, check-in and settle in. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, savoring the flavors of local cuisine.

Day 2
Tuesday, July 2nd

After breakfast we set off for a day of adventure on Achill Island. Embark on a scenic drive along the rugged coastline to reach Achill Island, a haven of natural beauty and cultural intrigue. As we meander along the Wild Atlantic Way Be prepared to be captivated by breathtaking cliffs, pristine beaches, and stunning seascapes as we traverse the island’s winding roads. Near Slievemore we’ll visit the Deserted Village, an archeological gem long since abandoned by the ancient people who once inhabited it. Return to Westport to explore the town’s boutique shops, and inviting pubs, or simply unwind at the hotel’s spa facilities. For dinner, taste Westport’s culinary delights at a local restaurant or pub independently.

Day 3
Wednesday, July 3rd

Wake up to a lovely morning in Westport before the next leg of our journey – a captivating drive to Galway, a city renowned for its vibrant culture and lively atmosphere. As we travel the rugged landscapes of Connemara, our first stop is the mesmerizing Kylemore Abbey, nestled by a tranquil lake and surrounded by lush greenery. Stroll through the Victorian Walled Gardens, visit the Gothic Church, and learn about the fascinating history of this enchanting estate. As we continue through the Connemara region, we’ll make a delightful stop in the picturesque town of Clifden. Here, between the rolling hills and the Atlantic Ocean, we’ll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at a local eatery and a stroll around town.

Day 4
Thursday, July 4th

Happy 4th of July!!! After a delicious breakfast, we set off for an unforgettable day of exploration. Our first stop takes us to the world-famous Cliffs of Moher, a natural wonder that stands as a testament to the raw beauty of Ireland’s coastline. Gaze in awe at the sheer cliffs plunging into the Atlantic Ocean and breathe in the invigorating sea breeze. On our way back to Galway we’ll make a stop at the ancient Poulnabrone Dolmen, a megalithic tomb dating back thousands of years. We’ll arrive back late in the afternoon where we will celebrate the 4th of July at a local pub with some finger food and perhaps a cold beverage or two. Later, take a stroll along the bustling streets, listen to the melodies of traditional Irish music spilling from charming pubs, and perhaps even join in the merriment.

Day 5
Friday, July 5th

 

July 5 – This morning we bid farewell to Galway and make our way towards the charming town of Bantry. Along the way we pass through the picturesque village of Adare. Renowned for its thatched-roof cottages, blooming gardens, and rich history, Adare offers a brief yet delightful stop. Stretch your legs, and capture snapshots of this idyllic village that seems straight out of a storybook. Our journey continues to the beautiful coastal town of Bantry, located along the shimmering waters of Bantry Bay. Upon arrival settle in and get ready to explore the treasures of West Cork.

Day 6
Saturday, July 6th

West Cork is a region brimming with natural beauty, charming towns, and cultural riches. This morning we’ll take a short boat trip to Garnish Island, an exquisite garden paradise boasting rare plants, vibrant flowers, and stunning vistas.  Then spend time in the charming village of Glengarriff with time for lunch and exploring before returning to Bantry for the evening.  Overnight: Maritime Hotel, Bantry (B)

 

Day 7
Sunday, July 7th

This morning explore the bustling streets and admire the architecture of Cork City. We’ll visit the renowned English Market. Indulge in local delicacies and delight in the sights and sounds of this historic market. No visit to Cork is complete without a taste of its craft beer scene. Our next stop is the Franciscan Wells Brewery, where we’ll have the opportunity to sample a variety of locally brewed beers and learn about the art of brewing from the experts themselves. We will call the Castlemartyr Resort our home for the next two nights. The luxury 5-Star resort is a destination richly steeped in Irish history and tradition. It consists of a grand 18th century country manor house that sits adjacent to the ruins of an 800-year-old castle. With a storied history that includes Strongbow, Walter Raleigh, the Knights Templar and more. Tonight we’ll indulge in a gourmet dinner at the Canopy Restaurant within Castlemartyr Resort that celebrates the flavors of the region.

Day 8
Monday, July 8th

Today we set out for an unforgettable adventure to Spike Island, often referred to as “Ireland’s Alcatraz.” We’ll learn the island’s fascinating history as a monastic settlement, military fortress, and notorious prison. Discover the stories of its former inhabitants and explore the well-preserved buildings and stunning views that make Spike Island a truly unique destination. Return to Castlemartyr and enjoy some leisure time. Perhaps unwind in the resort’s spa or take a stroll through the beautifully landscaped grounds. Tonight, we may venture into the nearby town to enjoy dinner at a local pub. Experience the warmth of Irish hospitality and immerse yourself in the charming atmosphere that characterizes village life. Overnight: Castlemartyr Resort (B)

Day 9
Tuesday, July 9th

After breakfast we’ll begin our journey towards Dublin City. Along the way we will stop at the Dunbrody Famine Ship Experience in New Ross. Experience the interactive exhibits and learn about the tragic history of the Irish Famine and the emigrant experience. Continue through the breathtaking landscapes of Co. Wicklow before arriving in Dublin with the evening free. Take the opportunity to explore Dublin as you wish. Whether you’re interested in shopping on Grafton Street, exploring Temple Bar’s cultural quarter, or simply meandering through the charming streets. Overnight: The Green, Dublin (B)

 

 

Day 10
Wednesday, July 10th

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin City onboard our coach to explore the elegant Georgian squares and houses, colorful parks, and bustling shopping areas. We’ll stop for a visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Next, embark on a journey through Ireland’s distilling heritage at Pearse Lyons Distillery. Learn about the art of whiskey-making, the history of the distillery building, and appreciate a tasting of their exceptional spirits. For our last night together in Ireland we will enjoy dinner and entertainment at the Merry Ploughboys.

 

 

 

Day 11
Thursday, July 11th

After breakfast we will make our way to Dublin Airport with time for last-minute Duty-Free shopping.  Those on the group flight will depart on Aer Lingus flight #117 at 12:35pm, arriving at Dulles at 3:40pm.

  • A $750 per person non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking to secure your spot on the tour
  • A 2nd non-refundable payment of $1000 per person will be due December 4, 2023
  • Final Payment must be received no later than March 22, 2024
