Today my parents returned from their anniversary trip to Ireland and had an absolutely amazing time! Everything went perfectly smooth, all of their hotels/staff were wonderful, and the driver Mick was terrific all around as well.  In short, they had an amazing time and it couldn’t have gone any better.

I just wanted to Thank You again for all of your help in making all of this possible.  Your recommendations and suggestions were all spot on and they loved everything.  It’s a trip they will never forget.

Thank you again for everything!

You really tailored a perfect itinerary. The international in Killarney was our favorite, but all hotels were great. The Davenport is a perfect location and a nice place to stay.  We were upgraded at the International and Dromoland Castle.

Thank you for all you work!

This was my second tour and I am In awe of how smoothly things work.  You and Hank have a formula that I would guess to be “unique”.  I recognize that a great deal of planning goes into each day to result in this type of success.

The lectures were excellent and the hotels are causing me to come down a notch to settle into my Cape Cod home!

Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

All of the hotels were wonderful.  Thank you for your suggestions for the order of sights to visit and things to do – it flowed very smoothly.  We really loved the Isle of Skye, it was spectacular and the Sheep Dog demo was a big hit.  This was our first time using Isle Inn Tours and I found your knowledge and experience very valueable.

Our driver was excellent, you can tell he loves his job.  I just wanted to tell you that our family truly appreciated having him to help us enjoy our tour of Ireland.

By way of introduction, my name is Dee S, and I am Terry W’s sister-in-law.  I experienced the “Mairead H 40’th Birthday Tour” tip to Ireland and wanted to thank you for everything you did.  I had waited a lifetime to go to Ireland and it was amazing!  It was so much fun and everything was just so indescribably beautiful; from the people to the countryside (and even the cows, sheep and horses)!  (I’ve used so many exclamation marks here but I can’t help it.)

We really appreciated everything you put together and we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful experience.  I am so grateful.

My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary by taking our family to Ireland in July. We are home now with wonderful memories of beautiful places, luxurious hotels, delicious food, exciting and educational adventures. Our guide easily adapted his approach to our multi-generational group with his knowledge, folklore and Irish wit. Isle Inn Tours, with the capable and attentive assistance of Andrea, made this once in a lifetime experience happen. We wish to thank Andrea and we highly endorse her and your company to others.

You guys sure know how to put together a great trip. Everything went perfectly smoothly and our driver Conor was a joy to spend the week with. Loved the scenery and the history, all well explained by Conor. Our night at the Dromoland was a surreal experience. All hotels excellent.

You all get 5 stars from our family.

Our vacation in Ireland was outstanding.  The accommodations were perfect and our driver …was personable, kind, knowledgeable and flexible.  He twe
aked the tour to meet our needs, and his choices for local lunches were always what we hoped for.  Thanks again for the best vacation we ever had.

Just landed back in the States.  Truly a wonderful journey.

Our driver, Billy Dowling, totally made the trip. He was kind, caring and very funny.  He and the kids really took to one another. (I made sure to tip him over your recommendation).  We truly miss him!

I would recommend him and the service without reservation. We were in a very nice Mercedes SUV which made for a great travel car.  And thank goodness we were not driving! Omg I can’t imagine dealing with those roads and intersections!

The Falconry was awesome.  John was knowledgeable and loved the birds   We handled a hawk and several owls.

I would recommend the Fitzwilliam in Dublin, Hayfield Manor in Cork (our favorite both in rooms and staff) and the Ross Hotel (we believe it’s haunted!).

Considering that you handled this for us at the last minute, I can’t thank you enough! I am giving your name to a lady friend of mine, who is looking to take a large family trip in the Spring to Ireland.

I just wanted to thank you again for planning such a wonderful 50th anniversary trip for us. It couldn’t have been more perfect.  Everything went very smoothly and need I say traveling first class was wonderful.  Even Martin has said that going back to coach will be difficult!.

Ireland was wonderful and the weather cooperated too.  They hadn’t had rain in two weeks and that continued for the most part while we were there with temps during the day in the low 70’s most days.  They all laughed and said o tell everyone in the States that it really doesn’t rain much in Ireland.

All of the accommodations were great and Dromoland Castle was fabulous! If we could have it would have been nice to spend another night there as it did rain the afternoon we were supposed to take a jaunting car trip around the grounds and they had to cancel because of the horses.  They did offer to do it later but that interfered with our dinner reservations so we couldn’t make it.  All in all it was just perfect.

Kudos to the driver because he was superb. Pete had a google map printed for each day showing the route we would be taking and suggestions of places to see but also took into consideration the things we wanted to do.  By the time he dropped us in Dublin he seemed like family.

The bus pass was great and gave us an opportunity to ride and see what we wanted to go back to so thank you again for that.  Our only complaint (which really isn’t one) is that we didn’t have enough time to see all that we had wanted to see so we are already talking about the possibility of a return trip.

Again thank you Kaylene for all the planning you did for us and please pass along our thanks to Virginia with Isle Inn Tours. It was truly a memorable trip.

I wanted to reach out to you and let you know how perfect our trip was.  Noel, our driver, was knowledgeable, funny, courteous, and truly enhanced our trip.  I hope you all continue to use him for your customers.  Billy, who we only had for one day, was also incredible and the perfect driver for our day around Slea Head.

What an amazing part of the country the West of Ireland is.  The accommodations in Doolin, Kenmare and especially Dingle were fantastic!  It’s only because of the level of expectation that those set that Bunratty was perfectly acceptable but did not knock our socks off like the other locations.

All the hotels provided infant sleeping arrangements as you had requested, so we had no problems there at all!

This trip provided a measure of comfort for us all in one of the hardest times we have ever had to endure.  We even got a beautiful rainbow for 10-15 minutes coming home from dinner in Dingle on the two year anniversary of his passing.  Truly amazing!

Thank you so much from our family!

We want to thank you so much for helping us have the trip of a lifetime! The Fitzwilliam is exquisite. John and I enjoyed the Dublin sites, ( Trinity College,St.Patrick’s and the Guinness tour) then the Wicklow mountain/Powerscourt waterfall visit. The Hayfields is undoubtedly one of the the most beautiful inns in the world. The accommodations and staff were exemplary. That evening we enjoyed a great band at the Frisky Whiskey.

We visited the Blarney castle on a picture perfect day and had a great time! We then went on to Kinsale and loved it there and had a fabulous lunch at Fishy Fishy.

The next day we drove to Kinmare, Waterville then on to the Bunratty Castle area. Then on to the Cliffs of Moher- breathtaking! In Galway we had a very special lunch at the Slatehouse with a charming bartender, Aoife.

The ride through the countryside was very special, sometimes thrilling but always beautiful.

I spoke with Nancy last night, they had a fantastic time!  Patrick was their driver and said he was absolutely wonderful.  Her comment about the hotels was the next one was even better than the last.  and Dromoland was amazing.

They said they need to go back and complete their shopping list and tour Northern Ireland and Dublin.

Thank you for all the work you put into this trip, and I look forward to planing more with you!

The trip was fantastic. One of the best we’ve had in a very long time. The Irish people were very warm and welcoming. Can’t say enough about our charming accommodations at all locations, especially the Bayview in Bushmills and the Sand House in Donegal. That’s not to say that our accommodations in Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Killarney or Shannon were disappointing….they were lovely, too. Just that the Bayview and Sand House provided us with the adequate downtime we needed after spending busy days in Dublin and Belfast.

Hi Mike!

Just wanted you to know that we did book and enjoy our trip immensely, as Franny documented below. Jan was great with suggestions and insights. Execution was flawless!

You should be proud that you have a good crew.

We enjoyed it immensely.

Favorite was Parknasilla – amazing place,  amazing walking trails,  boat rides, rooms, food, activities – everything was amazing.  You found a winner there.

We did a LOT of driving – Ring of Kerry,  although weather prevented actual Skellig Island visit.  Slea Head,  and Connor’s Pass were our favorites.    If we did it again,  we would really be the type of people that would like to stay in Dingle and Portmagee – those ring drives were very LONG days that would have been great to split in half.

We decided that we wanted to take our children and grandchildren (16 people, ages 81 to 14) on a tour of Ireland, so that they could appreciate their Irish heritage.  We went to Isle Inn Tours for help.  We worked with Isle Inn Tours’ Virginia M.  We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.  We visited Kinsale, Killarny, Doolin, Galway and Dromoland Castle, and we had a bus and driver for the 16 of us.  The hotels were first class and the drivers were friendly and extremely helpful.  Virginia arranged for dinners on the first night in each hotel and they went off perfectly.  She had also arranged all the flights, from Boston, Newark and Washington, all which were, miraculously, on time.  Margaret and I recommend Isle Inn Tours very highly for anyone who wants to visit Ireland.

We are currently sitting it the Dublin airport and I wanted to take a second to say thank you, thank you, thank you for the trip you put together for us. We all couldn’t have asked for a better trip. From the hotels you booked for us to the Shannon Tours and the driver we had, it all went off without a hitch!  We saw so much of the country and did so much I can’t even begin to explain how happy the 7 of us were on this holiday!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I will refer you to anyone who asks!!

We were correct many years ago, when we held out for a trip to Ireland with Blackthorn. Twas first class:  filled with slip jigs and reels, entertaining, great fun, informative and Lesley’s driving was impeccable. Lesley’s attention to our every need and humor was a wonderful addition to the trip. The organization was seamless. Thank you so much for arranging a great Ireland trip beyond expectations.

Wendy

I just wanted to thank you for all you did to arrange another fantastic trip to Ireland with Blackthorn.  I specifically want you to know two things:

First, Lesley Daunt is amazing!  He provides entertainment, knowledge, and genuine caring for every person on his coach.  His wealth of knowledge is priceless and he is able to problem solve nearly any situation that may occur.  His calm demeanor and strong work ethic are incredible.  So a giant thank you to Lesley.

Second, I think it’s important to let you know how the people at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis went above and beyond to help me personally. Upon my arrival at the airport on the 25th, I realized I didn’t have my purse.  Unfortunately, I left it hanging on the back of a chair in the dining room.  By the time Richard and I were able to contact Lesley, he already knew about it and my purse was on its way to the airport. One of the young men working in the dining room found the purse and delivered it to me at the airport.  I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciated their kindness and swift action.

So, big thanks yous to Lesley and the people at the Old Ground Hotel!

I just wanted to let you know that the H family had a wonderful time- a dream trip – as Sharon called it.

They loved their driver Chris- said he really went above and beyond.  Everything seemed to be perfect and one of them said her room at  Harvey’s Point was bigger than her whole apartment in Florida….

But it was a very successful trip, decent weather  and they found all sorts of relatives in some village, which they were thrilled about.

Thanks so much for all of your hard work and patience.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip to Ireland thanks to all your work and arrangements.

Conor was amazing!! He had all his history down with added maps and funny anecdotes about everything. I don’t know how anyone would be able to get around and see as much as we did without him!!! You will be having so many people bothering you due to all our raving about this booking!!

The castle was amazing and the food was outstanding!! thought you would want to know!!! Conor wanted to be remembered to you so I needed to pass that on!!

Thanks for planning an absolutely fantastic trip to Ireland July 3-13. It could not have been better. Greg and I loved the sights, tours, tour guides in Belfast and Derry, and driver/guide, Leslie. We liked the education as well as scenery. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, saw a lot. The places we stayed were wonderful as was the food.

A totally super experience!! More than we expected.

Thanks for your hard work and answering questions ahead of time. And to Diane for her help as well.

Evelyn and I want to thank you so much for this trip. You have done a terrific job in every detail of what turned out to be our best vacation ever. Starting by getting me Exit row, to Leslie (the best driver/tour guide anywhere), to the hotels, stops along the way and just the route itself helped us have fun and learn a great deal about Ireland.

I could go into details on everything but I’m sure your busy making someone else’s vacation a treasured memory.

Won’t forget this one for a long time, which means we won’t forget you and what you did for us.

Our clients, the S family just returned from their trip that you planned and they LOVED IT!

Thank you very very much.

I am going to share what they said with you…here are the words:

“PERFECT, FABULOUS, AMAZING, AMAZING DRIVER,” the driver was very responsive and sat down with them every night to plan the next day’s route, they were very happy with him, and finally they said “IT’S THE ONLY WAY TO GO.”

We thank you so much for arranging this tour and getting that great driver for them. I’m happy we were able to work out the initial wrinkle with the hotel rates and we will be sending you more business of COURSE!

Thank you very much for your efforts!

Hey Bill!

Just wanted to let you know how amazing our trip was and how awesome our driver Christy was. Every hotel and staff was great. . . Up until our last day in Dublin, the hotel was not as amazing. But every thing was great! Had an amazing time in Derry and the hotel in Belfast was amazing and the Merchent was fantastic and our first night at the Galgorum was beautiful, wish we would have been up to enjoying the perks more on that first night.

Thank you for finding our driver he was very informative and knew exactly where we wanted to go. We have every intention to come back in the near future and we will not want to have anyone, but Christy as our driver.

Just wanted to write and thank you for the note and let you know we had a wonderful trip to Ireland.  Our driver Noel was great.  He was 53 years old and had a wonderful sense of humor and took us to see things we would have never seen had we gone without a guide.  This was the most expensive trip we ever took and I think it was first class all the way.  All the hotels were nice but the outstanding one was the Lough Eske Castle.  I think I could have stayed there longer if time permitted.  All in all it was a wonderful trip and I thank you for the good arrangements you made for us.

Mike, I thought it necessary, as a senior travel agent and owner, to express my appreciation for 2 of your representatives.  Ed Murray paid a visit to our office some years ago and I was encouraged to try Isle Inn Tours.  I booked a family grouping with Virginia, including chauffeur service and was very pleased with the outcome. The driver did a superb job with the elderly group under some difficulty.  I just booked 2 young law school graduates, again with chauffeur service, and it was another success.  The driver, Conor, was in his 40’s and related to my clients age appropriate requests. Both Ed and Virginia served Isle Inn Tours and my needs for attention to detail with complete satisfaction. I will continue with Isle Inn as my preferred supplier.

I hope all is well with you.  It certainly is with Blackthorn.

We just got back from Ireland and the trip was the best yet, absolutely outstanding.  Of course it started out way better than last year (remember the storms on the east coast causing our flights to be cancelled etc.).  This trip went like clockwork from start to finish.

On the last night we have this get-together where everybody does a party piece and it is a lot of fun.  One of the ladies in the group stood up and thanked us saying, “You guys really know how to run a trip”.  I thanked her but told her that, in fact, we haven’t a clue how to run a trip but that, in truth, the success of the whole adventure is not due to us at all but rather to Isle Inn Tours and to Andrea in particular.  We rustle up the customers and you guys take it from there.

I want you both to know what a star Andrea is.  She has done a fabulous job with us since taking us over from Fiona a few years ago. Everybody we spoke with on the trip couldn’t say enough nice things about her and how patient and professional she was with them.  I thoroughly second that.  After all the times I have called her up with minor questions/ tweaks/ suggested changes, she has never once showed any sign of impatience or frustration dealing with me, and I know I can be a pest.  I hope she stays with you a long while.

In fact, at her urging, we have already started sketching in the Blackthorn 2017 Ireland trip. We have about 15 people already on a waiting list and several people from this year’s trip want to go with us again next year.  I spoke with Andrea earlier today and she will be starting into next year’s plans soon.

Once again, thanks for another very successful Irish adventure and I hope we have a lot more ahead of us.

I just want to thank you for all you did to make our travel to Ireland such a remarkable experience.  This was my first trip to Europe and it couldn’t have been better.  The accommodations were amazing.  I only wish I could have spent more time at each stop.  Of course we were on the go continuously and I didn’t want to miss a thing. I know it isn’t an easy task putting these trips together so I just want you to know all of your time and attention to detail is truly appreciated.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the chauffeur-driven trip that was arranged for my daughter and myself from June 5 to the 14th to Ireland.   We loved every minute of it and said to each other many times that we wouldn’t have seen half of what we saw had we been driving ourselves!! It was delightful and the best decision we made. We would do it again in a heartbeat!! We loved our driver also … He was kind and patient and went out of his way to be accommodating in whatever way he could.

I and my fellow travelers would like to say thank you and highly recommend the coach driver during our recent visit to Ireland.  … went above and beyond to help our group of thirteen to visit the sites on our list. If something unforeseen caused us to miss an item one day he made sure that we would be able to do it the next. …was also very good at getting to know the group and making suggestions that we were very happy with. We might have missed these attractions or sites without his input.

I am pleased to tell you that your car and driver was the highlight of this wonderful trip. Mr. Christy Woods could not have been more pleasant, a better conversationalist, or a skilled driver. For six days we had the benefit if his knowledge of Ireland and Irish history, current Irish political affairs, and local issues. I cannot say enough good about this gentleman, and am recommending Christy to our friends who travel to Ireland. We are very grateful.

I can’t say enough about the personal touch that Isle Inn Tours provided us as we planned our trip to Ireland in the Summer of 2013.Isle Inn Tours was there for us every step of the way and showed tremendous flexibility and caring service that is hard to find as we had several changes leading up to our trip on our end!

Without a doubt the most enjoyable family vacation EVER!  The accommodations were superb, food wonderful, weather….lots of liquid sunshine, and a wonderful day spent with distant cousins.  The highlight, the one thing that made this trip the greatest was our driver ….…a walking Google on Irish history, not just a driver but a wonderful teacher and friend….I mean this guy is TOPS!

That goes for you also….we, all eleven, thank you for a unforgettable eight days.  Virginia you did GOOD!  What a find you are.  Thank you thank you thank you!!

PS…We may be back for another trip…if so you can bet it will be with you guys.

I cannot say enough spectacular things about our Tour guide/driver Les!!! He was witty, kind, thoughtful to all our needs. He shared information about the places that we went that could not really be found in any book. He had us laughing. He really set the tone for the entire trip. He can manuever a bus into places that most folks could not go. He is a treasure for your company. Please pass this information onto him-he deserves to know.

Again, thank you for the great vacation! I will surely share this with all my friends planning their vacations.

We returned this week from Highlights of Ireland. We just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful experience. The hotels and food were excellent. Our tour guide, Joe O’Connell, was one of in million. He had 37 years experience as a tour guide. His stories and knowledge were unbelieveable. Everone on this tour enjoyed themselves immensely. If you need a recommendation, please feel free to contact us.

Isle Inn Tours is now 5 for 5 on arranging outstanding trips for us. We had a super time thanks, in large part, to how well you do your job. The Fitzwilliam in Dublin was a great location and the room was very nice but its best to request a room at the other end of the property from the night club next door. The Cashel Palace was outstanding and the restaurant rocked although Chez Hans was a disappointment. Lisa ended up spending more time in the gift shop at the Rock of Cashel because she happened to mention that her cat’s name is Cashel and everyone wanted to see pictures. The Meyrick hasn’t changed that much from the Great Southern, which was a pleasant surprise. The Old Ground was definitely on a par with it if not better. Certainly, the level of service was much better. Not 5 star for sure but still a place I could recommend. Of course, some of that came from the excellent room that they upgraded us to on your behalf. Finally, Adare is now my favorite castle/manor house even beating out Dromoland. Again, a lot of that was due to your efforts on getting one of the best rooms in the Manor. The level of service is at least as good if not better than Hayfield Manor which is saying a lot. The golf course is the best parklands course I’ve played in Ireland and getting to the top links courses in that area is fairly easy. All in all a very relaxing vacation which is what we were looking for. Thanks again.

My daughter and I just returned from our trip and cannot rave enough about the marvelous country of Ireland, its wonderful people, and the amazing and complete itinerary you set up for us. We just arrived home from our FABULOUS tour of Ireland, and I’ve been meaning to get a quick email out to thnak you. We truly had the best trip!! We all appreciate the role you played in helping us set up such a great trip. All the hotels were terrific. I think all of us would agree the Killarney Royal was our favorite! I also want to let you know how WONDERFUL our driver was. I think we all wanted to bring him home with us. We feel very strongly that he was instrumental in our having such a wonderful, relaxing trip….Virginia at Isle Inn Torus and our wonderful driver…….a “heck” of a duo!

We want you to know our driver was a true professional, warm and very prepared to tell us all about the country he loves. He used your proposed itinerary and suggestions to lead us to lovely places, fantastic scenery and with his commentary we learned the history of Ireland. We know the suggestions for sightseeing were ambitious, but he never hesitated. He drove us to locations we know the ordinary tourist never sees. Everything was a thrill. He is a gem.

We never expected to see the Ireland we did. The trip was beyond our expectations. We know it was a privilege and we will not forget our travels.

Just a note to let you know that we are back from our trip to Ireland. The tour of Ireland was fabulous. Could not have been better. Even the weather cooperated by not raining once while we were there.

All the accommodations were good and some of them were absolutely outstanding. Our driver, was a Godsend. What a nice man. He was so well informed, so much fun and so accommodating that we all fell in love with him.

Thank you so much for all your assistance in putting this together.

We just wanted to touch base and let you know what a magnificent vacation we had in Ireland! Everything was wonderful and our driver was just perfect! We had the best service everywhere we went and folks were just wonderful. We think our favorite place may be Killarney although Kinsale is a close second.

We are just so happy and we wanted to thank you for helping us arrange our dream vacation! We are already looking forward to our next trip over.

I just wanted to tell you what a terrific trip we had. I would recommend your company to ANYONE interested in going to Ireland. What a bargain, with top notch hotels, meals, tour guide, etc….

Highlights of Ireland is the best tour for your first trip to Ireland! And we researched a lot of them before choosing Isle Inn. This tour includes many sites that most tours do not venture to such as a ferry ride on the Fjord or visiting the Irish Stud. Our driver was knowledgeable, funny and gave us the local take on some of the sights. Since our group was small, he stopped at the Connemara Marble Factory where we learned about Irish marble and gained a greater appreciation for what we saw thoughout our tour. All the hotels were fabulous! The food was great! The people wonderful!

Another selling point was not having to change hotels every night. We were able to explore the pubs and experience the towns more as we don’t have to worry about packing everything each night. Words can’t describe what a wonderful time we had. We didn’t want to leave!

The staff at Isle Inn Tours were great in answering all our questions (and we had many). We stayed an extra day in Limerick and they helped us make those arrangements. A must see is the Hunt Museum in Limerick. What a treasure!

We were spoiled by this trip and will expect other tour companies to live up to the standard set by Isle Inn. We would recommend Isle Inn Tours to anyone without hesitation!

Linda and John Peterson join Richard and myself in sending a big thankyou for all you did arranging flights, schedules, and Dublin accommodations for us. Everything was beyond expectations! Our three days in Dublin before the tour started couldn’t have been better and the convenient hotel and the breakfasts there were excellent. We took in many sites in Dublin and used the Hop-on/Hop-off bus which was really good for further away places. We saw so much in the Dublin area, but managed to leave a few things to see and do on the next trip. The Wild Wicklow Tour we took on Sunday had an excellent driver/guide and we highly recommend it. Seamus and Leslie are a wonderful pair with their great talents for entertaining, information, and driving skills! Thank you again for all you did to help make this such a memorable trip to a wonderful country.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to your tour company for a most memorable vacation visiting your beautiful country. It was our first time to Ireland and we probably had the best driver/guide possible, explaining the country’s rich history, taking us to all the sites we never could have found without him and all with great humor and great patience while many pictures were snapped. He was a wonderful companion for the week, extremely professional and made our trip a lifetime experience we will never forget. We shall be recommending your tour company to our many friends here in the States.

We plan on returning!!

We have just returned from our Ireland tour ( June 8 – June 16) and would like to tell you that this tour exceeded all expectations, couldn’t have a better host, accommodations were top shelf, meals were great and the entire experience was unbelievable. The driver of the coach was great with his knowledge of his country, comments about the area in which we did visit and just an added plus to this tour. We ( my wife and myself) can not express enough how great this tour was – only complaint – too short!!! This has been on of the greatest experiences that we have had in our life-time and will recommend this tour to anyone that wants to travel to Ireland.

Back a week now from our fantastic trip to Ireland, and I have a few minutes to write our thanks. My daughter and I had such a wonderful time due to your good advice. The distances between the places we stayed worked out perfect. Our driver, was an absolute gem, and going with the chauffeur driven vacation was the best decision we made. Our trip was stress-free and we were treated with the utmost kindness every step of the way! We saw ten times the amount of sights that we ever could have found on our own or with a tour. Every hotel and Bed & Breakfast was lovely, and we wish we could have stayed a week at each place. Below is the superlative each place won from us:

Dublin – O’Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel – Friendliest staff and best location for museum hopping.

Belfast – Europa Hotel – Best bathroom (loved the waterfall shower head, I want to order one) and just down the street, the best Chinese food at the Red Panda.

Sligo, Co. Sligo – Lissadell B & B – Best hospitality. Mary Cadden was delightful, and so was her charming husband. And the room had the best vibes.

Galway, Co. Galway – Roncalli House – Best location. We were right by Galway Bay and a ten minute walk from the center of the beautiful city. Galway was heavenly.

Bunratty, Co. Clare – Clover Hill Lodge – Best beds. We had a lovely large room with two of the best mattresses in Ireland. I felt like lifting them up to find out what company made them. Anne Nash gave us tea, left out breakfast fixings for before our early morning flight, and ordered a cab. What a great place to stay when using Shannon Airport.

We are planning a trip next year to see the south of Ireland, we loved it that much.

I want to thank you very much for planning our trip to Ireland. Our stop the first night was something out of a storybook, Jane keeps calling it the Bee’s Knees. The Mount Falcon Manor House and its grounds were absolutely magnificent. I expected to see fairies flitting in the beautiful woodlands. The staff at the house were so very gracious and kind and give new meaning to Irish hospitality.

Our driver, was the gem of the trip. His knowledge and humor were wonderful, as were all his little kindnesses ( making sure our accommodations were ready, holding the door for us and hauling our luggage, and just making sure that we were being taken care of ). He made Jane and I feel pampered and absolutely safe. Jane and I have a special place in our hearts for him. A true Irish gentleman.

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that, once again, you came through like a champion on putting our trip together. Dromoland was excellent and Hayfield Manor was possibly the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, the hotel was very attractive and the location was perfect. Isle Inn Tours rocks.

We had a fabulous time in Ireland! The hotels were wonderful, the food was great, and the itinerary was simply outstanding. This was our second tour of Ireland, and because Isle Inn Tours did everything so well the first time, we looked no further this time. You’re the best! Can’t thank you enough for an absolutely amazing time. Our coach driver/guide, was a gem – everyone loved him, and he offered not only great insight but a wonderful dose of Irish wit and humor. The only thing I was really displeased about was being dropped off at Shannon Airport for the flight home. Wish it didn’t have to end! I’ll always be grateful to you for all your help, and will definitely call Isle Inn Tours the next time the Emerald Isle beckons.

It was an incredible trip! Kenmare was the perfect vacation spot with some local color, good shopping, and a bunch of choices in terms of restaurants and activities. The Sunnyhill Holiday home was spacious, immaculately clean, and well located (we were a short walk from town but far out enough to not be disturbed by tourist traffic/noise).

While in Kenmare in addition to enjoying the town, we did an extensive Ring of Kerry tour, travelled up to Kilarney for the day, went on a sea cruise around Kenmare Bay, the girls drove out to Kinsale, and all of us drove out to Glen Inchaquin Park to see the falls and do a little hiking.

Our pub activities were the stuff of legends to include my brother singing with the band and me arm wrestling Irish locals.

The Bunratty Castle Hotel was magnificent. The hotel staff were friendly and incredibly accomodating. The place was beautiful and exceedingly practical. The hotel’s proximity to the folk park, shopping, and the castle made for a worry-free final day of our trip. The hotel stay was a perfect end to a vacation largely enjoyed in a self-catering accomodation in Kenmare. The banquet at the castle was an outstanding suggestion on your part and we all raised a toast to you for the idea.

Thank you so very much for the vacation you put together for us. We will all cherish our time together for the rest of our lives. Our experience exactly reflects what one envisons as a vacation in Ireland. I asked my daughter if our vacation is what she expected. She replied, “Daddy, this is so much better than anything I expected and I expected a lot.”

To quote one of the participants on the tour ”AWESOME…WONDERFUL…GREAT…FANTASTIC!” So I guess everything went well. Thank you so much for your assistance putting this together. They loved the driver; basically they loved everything about the trip. So thank you again for all your help.

We got back yesterday from our trip, and we want to thank you very much. We had an amazing time (even despite the rain). It was a perfect vacation. We absolutely loved the B&B in Donegal and really loved Kinsale as well. Our hotel in Dublin was in a perfect location. Everything went smoothly and it was an amazing trip.

I just returned from your Ancient Glory Tour in May, organized by Hank McNally, a friend of over 40 years. I know that Hank is an expert in Irish history, so I had very high expectations. They were all exceeded.
First, the itinerary. This was my first trip to Ireland. We visited at least three ancient sites that gave me insight into early Irish history and culture. Hank added so much by his expalnations of these sites preparing us for what to expect and look for. The time spent in Northern Ireland was also special. I suspect that typical American tours skip most or all of that part of Ireland. Our visit was especially timely, following as it did the signing of the agreement by Ian Paisley and Gerry Adams.

The entertainment arranged by Hank was terrific. For one who loves traditional Irish music it was wonderful to have it delivered to us most nights. Every night was different, surprising and enjoyable.

The pace was good. It was especially helpful that, except for the last night, we go to stay in each hotel two nights.

Finally, the bus driver. I can’t say enough goods things about him. He was friendly and helpful, always, and seemed to enjoy very much what he was doing. Over and above all that, he was a bottomless source of Irish history himself. He was able to speak of his own personal history in the north, but also of the history of the Island especially in modern times (last 300-400 years) in great detail. It is hard for me to imagine a better person to have been our bus driver.

And as I learned to say, the craic was always mighty.

Thank you so much for all your help with the Ancient Glory Tour our family took in May 2007. You answered all our questions promptly throughout our planning. the tour itself was well organized and really a special experience for all of us. Our driver was a great bonus. He was fun, knowledgeable and very accomodating. Overall our experience was terrific!!!

We were on the trip to Ireland with Hank McNally. What a great trip we had. It was our first experience with an escorted bus tour. This was so terrific. The people were all great. Staying 2 days in each city was key for us. It gave us a chance to explore on our own and yet had the ease of not worrying about meals or lodgings or entertainment.

Our driver, was superb. So knowledgable and personable. He was a fount of information. His love of his native land came through loud and clear. Whether it be farming, history, politics, or culture he seemed to be well versed.

Thanks for arranging the tour. It was great!

I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for all your hard work getting this trip to run so seamlessly. We had a wonderful time and an excellent driver. He was amazing negotiating some of the small towns with that extra big bus. His wit and knowledge made the trip all the more enjoyable. Again, thanks a lot.

The job you did in preparing our trip more than met our expectations. We sang your praises often and I’d be surprised if your ears weren’t ringing during those ten days.

Every hotel was wonderful! The Kilkea castle was magnificent and so unknown. Its haunted….did you know that? We didn’t meet the ghost but he opened the elevator door for us once without us asking for it or pushing the button.

Your recommendations to stay two nights in Galway was a good one. We visited the Aran island of Inis Moir and loved it. No problems were encountered, you thought of everything.

Dingle was awesome. We loved Benner’s Hotel and the service was just wonderful. We got to hear Traditional Irish Music and do some dancing there as well as in Kinsale. We followed our ears to the music and were never disappointed.

Without ever meeting us you really got a feel for what we wanted just by talking to me. I applaud your efforts and will recommend you and your company to anyone I meet thinking of going to Ireland. Continued success to you!

Just wanted to follow up and let you know that we had an outstanding trip and I can definitely say that my wife Barbara and I have every
intention of seeing more of Ireland at our first opportunity – the accommodations were fantastic and we had 10 out of 11 days sunny and
clear. Thank you so much for your help, it’s a birthday trip my wife will never forget.

I had such a wonderful time in Ireland with Danny Doyles Celtic Aires and Graces. I have a great deal of praise and no serious criticism to offer.

It goes without saying – but I’ll say it anyway! – that the opportunity to enjoy Danny’s company and music were the primary draw and the greatest joy in the whole experience. Additionally, I really appreciated the thoughtful itinerary for several reasons. One is that as I get a little older, I love not having to move every day. It was a real luxury to be able to settle in for 3 nights at a time.

I was happy to find that very few of the scheduled destinations were duplications for me – I’ve been to Ireland only 4 times and so must be a beginner! It seems to me that you chose to bypass some of the most exploited tourist attractions for other, more interesting, historically important, and/or heartfelt choices. My favorites were the day on Inishmore, Clonmacnoise, and Tara. I have been to Newgrange before, but it falls into the same class of genuinely interesting destinations.

Our chosen driver/guide, Damian McKenna, did a wonderful job. It is obvious that he is deeply committed, extremely knowledgeable and pleased to share information. This is always valuable to me because I’m always trying to learn more…

Helen and I want to thank you for an excellent trip. After the first four days, we felt we had seen more than we expected for the whole trip. It was a nice group and the music was great! I would definitely recommend it to others. Seeing with Danny Doyle is a real treat. Thanks for a wonderful time and sharing your Ireland with us. Good luck in your ventures.

I wanted to thank the staff at Isle Inn Tours on providing a great tour through Fran Smith. The trip went without a hitch. My wife and I were part of a group of 19 people that toured the southern part of Ireland in October 2006. Our bus driver and tour guide, Owen Mohan, was very courteous, accommodating and very knowledgeable of his country. His sense of wit made him one in a million. The tour provided the right amount of time in each city we visited and had plenty of time on our own to scope out the area. I can’t say enough good things about the trip to Ireland. I made a DVD of all the pictures I took and have watched it three times now. It brings back great memories of the trip. We plan to visit Ireland again and will only travel with Isle Inn Tours.

Alica and I had a wonderful visit to The Emerald Isle. The route that you selected was beautiful, the lodging was elegant and we especially enjoyed the Gregans Castle Hotel. The people of Ireland were so warm and hospitable which made for a relaxing vacation. My highlight was the visit to Doolin where we watched the tide crash against the shoreline at sunset with a breathtaking view of The Cliffs of Moher. Fiona, thank you for taking our vision and transforming it into a memorable experience.

Our week long trip (Aug. 12 – 19) to Ireland you booked for us was outstanding. Flying into Shannon and having our car rented and waiting for us worked very smoothly. The drive to Galway and our first B&B (Mandalay by the Sea) was a good suggestion. Our 2 days there were great including driving through the Connemara. From there we went to Sligo/Drumcliff and our stay at our Second B&B (Carbury House). This is the area (Drumcliff) from which we have traced our ancestors. The Conway name could been seen at various stores and businesses there. We did venture up to Donegal from here and enjoyed that very much. On the way back we stopped at Bundoran which overlooked a surfing area with a large beach and cliffs. What a sight! We ended our trip with a stay at the Camden Court Hotel in Dublin. Dublin was another great time using the City Tour/ Hop on-Hop off Busses.

Thanks for everything, especially the 6 days of sunshine. I will definitely recommend your company to other folks who are interested in traveling to Ireland.

I wanted to thank you for organizing our trip to Ireland. My parents were thrilled with the experience- and the private chauffeur tour provided by Seamus is a memory we will cherish. In fact, we can not imagine touring a country any other way! We were also traveling with my one year old daughter and the hotels/inns could not have been more accommodating.

We plan to go again and see the other side of Ireland – we’ll be using Isle Inn Tours again.

We returned this week from your Highlights of Ireland Tour.

I would like to extend a hearty thank you for one of the best vacations I have ever had. Twenty Nine of us just returned from a customized group tour put together with the help of Fiona from Isle Inn Tours. Fiona was fantastic at helping with the itinerary and the airfare/hotel arrangements.

The group was blessed with a brand new bus, wonderful weather, and the best possible bus driver/tour guide. Our driver, Owen Mohan, added so much to the trip with his stories, wit, and knowledge about his country. He was a true professional who accommodated our every wish and concern, and his pride in his country was very apparent. Anyone traveling to Ireland with Isle Inn Tours would be lucky to have Owen driving their bus.

Isle Inn Tours is the way to see Ireland by bus!! Thanks again for all your help.

The trip was absolutely fabulous. Please let us know about the 2007 Ireland trips as soon as possible ( I might want to bring along my brother and his wife). Seamus Kennedy in person is just like he sounds on his CD’s, a wonderful singer as well as a great entertainer and Lesley is an unbeliveable tour arranger, guide and driver.

We are looking forward to the January cruise.
Thanks for all your help.

I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you what a wonderful trip we had last week- everything went perfectly and everyone was thrilled with it. Our driver was exceptional, he made the trip so wonderful. The weather was beautiful, only 3 hours of rain the entire time we were there.

Thanks for all of your help- it was such a pleasure working with you! I can’t wait for you to plan our next visit to Ireland!

We had a very good time in Ireland and saw lots of sites. Our driver did an excellent job and we would never have found all the the sites, unbelievable scenery and some excellent resturants without him. Adare Manor was our favorite spot. The people were extremely friendly and service was impecable. The Park Kenmare was a very good choice and Waterford Castle was a great experience.

We used the hop on/off bus while in Dublin which proved to be an easy way to see the city sites and took the Dart out to the sea shore at Howeth one day and took a boat out to an island while there.

Thanks for all your help in puting this vacation together for us. We certainly would recommend your services and Isle Inn Tours to any of our friends considering an Ireland holiday.

I just wanted to say “Thank YOU” from all of us. Our trip to Ireland was fantastic. The weather was superb (absolutely no rain for 2 weeks). Seamus Coffey, our guide and driver, was excellent. He suggested sites that were not included in the itinerary such as the Irish National Stud, and we were always pleased with his recommendations. We highly recommend him for future tours.

Thank you once again for a memorable experience of my family’s heritage.

I just want to say that I adored Ireland – despite the rain, and there was no way to control that. I cant thank you and Isle Inn Tours for providing me with this special trip.

I wanted to see if I can get your help in arranging a return trip next year to Dublin. I really had a fantastic time there and the only complaint I have is that I didnt have enough time to really see the city.

I want to thank you very much again for the wonderful opportunity Isle Inn Tours provided. It was an inspiring and relaxing journey for me after an extremely hectic year at work, and I can only say I want to go back to Ireland asap!

My husband and I just returned from an escorted tour of Ireland called “Highlights of Ireland”. I wanted to tell you what a wonderful guide we had. Owen Mohan was outstanding! He made the trip memorable, fun, educational, and heart warming! He was polite in all situations, displayed excellent manners, grace and style. He was an excellent driver/guide and we felt safe at all times. He was enthusiastic, professional and so much fun! We loved him and because of him, will return to Ireland again and again. Please tell him how special he made our vacation!

We had an absolutely glorious week in Ireland. We have never been to a more spectacular country; the west and southwest and south are without comparison!!! Just when we thought it couldn’t get more beautiful we would round a bend and yes, even more beautiful. The Conner Pass, unbelievable. The same for the Slea Head Drive. Unfortunately, we did not do the Ring of Kerry as we ran out of time. We did stop at Ross Castle on the lake. We definitely want to return. The weather was perfect. Each day became warmer and always sunny — in the 70’s.

Thank you for all your professional planning. The route was perfect. Lots of driving, but we did want to see as much as possible.

We started at the Cliffs of Moher and then did the ocean view drive around The Burren. Dinner at O’Conners – great fish and chips. We couldn’t stay awake for the singing as had been up for 36 hours by then, but there was a band playing music.

“The Shores B & B” in Castlegregory is splendid. Our room was beautiful. Annette is delightful. We had a delicious dinner there that night. Again, a must stay for the view!!

“Pax House ” in Dingle, nice, eclectic, comfortable room — best part, the fabulous view from the room and the large deck where we sat for a couple of hours. I don’ think any of the other hotels there have that spectacular view. Highly recommend it because of the view and only a couple of minutes drive to town.

“Acton’s Hotel” again great. The lobby, dining area have been redone and are modern. The rooms are nice, very clean (as everywhere), but not as “done” as the others. However, again the view! We were on the waterfront side — best view in the town. We ate at two great restaurants – Man Friday and Max’s Wine Bar.

Last night was at “Weston’s Lot B & B”. It is new, beautifully decorated , large rooms, small baths. Very friendly owner. Great Irish breakfast. Sort of in the middle of nowhere, but lots of B & Bs in the area. About 15-20 minutes from Cashel.

The car was very good size – a type of Mercedes, 4 door, lots of room.

Again, our many thanks for planning our route – and putting together the entire package. We will be in touch.

I am writing to tell you of four OUTSTANDING driver/guides of yours. Last week, Leslie Daunt, Owen Mohan, Bobby Tyrell and Willie Guilfoyle, served as driver/guides for a tour we took with our high school band throughout your beautiful country. As a band director who has taken many trips like this, I am all too aware of how important having good driver/guides are to the success of the tour. These four gentleman, your employees, were far and away the best guides I have had the good fortune to work with.

They were polite, courteous, punctual, well-organized and very skilled . They were also very friendly, patient and cooperative, always sure to take charge of the loading of luggage and equipment. They shared their knowledge of the sites with charm and enthusiasm. It was truly a joy to be around them.

I hope you will share this note with them and let them each know that they are forever in our hearts and minds as we look back and fondly remember the time we spent in Ireland in 2006.

Just thought you should know that you have some terrific men working for you!

I should have done this sooner, but I wanted to let you know that we had the time of our life on our recent tour to Ireland with Seamus. Both he and Leslie are to be commended, they did a fantastic job.

I would like to especially give recognition to Leslie who went way above board in helping my sister and mom with their passport problems when my sister lost her backpack in Waterford.

If it is in our means we will definitely be back.
Again thanks for the vacation of a lifetime.

I just wanted to say thanks again for all you did to arrange our trip. We had such a wonderful time and the places you put us up were great. I hope you will add Belleek Castle to your next trip.

We’re sure to go back. And we’ll be in touch. You made a real difference in the quality of our trip through your suggestions, careful attention to details and our needs, and your encouraging spirit. Thanks again. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with you. Great travel agents are hard to come by (this I know).

I didn’t want to wait another minute to write and tell you how wonderful our tour was with Danny Doyle last week.
As usual, our fellow travelers were not only stand-up comedians, but also the friendliest people we’ve ever met. Damian McKenna, our bus “handler”/tour guide, was spectacular. He was a joy to be around. But, the tour wouldn’t have been complete without Danny. What an entertainer and historian he is. He never ceases to amaze us with his songs and stories.
Thank you Isle Inn Tours for providing us with these terrific tours. Thank you Damian McKenna for driving the bus where sane people would never take a bus….and thank you Danny for sharing your extraordinary talent and wit with the us.

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our Slainte Pub Tour, which commenced on March 12th. The planning and organization, hotels and itinerary were all excellent and our first visit to Ireland was made even more enjoyable by our driver/guide Owen. His humor and wealth of knowledge on Irish history and literature was greatly entertaining. Thanks again for a great vacation.

This is long overdue. Some time ago I promised to give you a print of my pen and ink drawing of the Rock of Cashel. I send this to you with sincere gratitude and thanks for all of the services and help you have always given to me personally and to the Presbyterian Committee for Northern Ireland (PCNI) over the years.

It is wonderful to work with folks who are always gracious, helpful and patient! You are the best! I look forward not only to this year’s trip, the details of which you have so carefully arranged, but to our continued friendship and association!

Having recently returned with Seamus Kennedy on the “Mobile Celtic Excursion”, I felt compelled to express my thoughts and feelings about the experience. This was my first trip to Ireland and it exceeded all expectations. I did indeed experience the magic of Ireland and its people. Having been totally immersed in its exquisite beauty and passionate past I returned home reluctantly. As an educator I can appreciate all that was involved in the planning of this mega field trip.

The quality of traditional music and theatre was exceptionally passionate. Leslie (our driver) gave informative commentary, kept us on schedule all the while telling stories and keeping everyone in the best of spirits.
The experience was priceless!

Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you again for all of your help with our honeymoon in Ireland. Michelle and I had an absolutely wonderful time. First of all I want to thank you again for your most generous and kind donation to the St. Patrick’s Missionary Society’s Golf tournament. I have just returned from your wonderful tour of Ireland. Leslie our driver, was very informative and a great driver. He went out of his way to be helpful to us all. A great time was had by all.

First we want to thank you for the very good work you did for us in putting our trip together. All the reservations were in order, the Hertz car was waiting – and in addition, when the Irish “curbs” on narrow roads gave us a couple flat tires, Hertz on the second flat (because the wheel wouldn’t come off as it should) gave us another car. No hassle. We also met some very nice Irishmen (and women) through those flats. One man in a panel truck, after stopping to help and refusing our offers of money, made the comment, “This country has a lot of problems, but somebody always stops.” We found his words to be very true!

We had a wonderful time, the most leisurely and relaxing travel vacation we’ve had in a long while. Of the highly rated tourist areas, we loved most the beautiful southwest, especially the Beara and Dingle Peninsula, and the dramatic Antrim Coast, especially the Giant’s Causeway. We also were quite enchanted by Cobh, Kinsale, Kenmare, and Adare, were delighted to find Bunratty Castle so well restored. We spent a morning touring Derry, another walking around Belfast, and a lovely evening at the end walking around the charming village of Malahide in the Dublin suburbs of Balgriffin – very upscale, and a different view of Irish life from the isolated villages. We loved our days in Dublin, where it was very hot those first three days; we found good restaurants near our hotel and were well located for the tourist attractions.

So that’s our tale briefly. Again our thanks for helping us arrange an excellent trip, and we’ll call you again for our next trip to Ireland.

Recently my wife and I returned from your “Highlights of Ireland Tour”. We wanted you to know how pleased we were with all aspects of your tour package. The amount of organization and attention to detail was obvious and appreciated. Our travel agent in Janesville, WI, recommended your tour and we are glad we listened. Please feel free to add us to your list of satisfied customers. In particular, our driver/guide Leslie Daunt made a good experience even better. Not only was he courteous and knowledgeable, (but) his wit had us rolling in the aisles on many occasions. He played the Irish “persona” to the hilt.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Isle Inn Tours! My family recently experienced the wonder and magic of Ireland, thanks to the careful planning and attention to our needs by Fiona Lydon of your staff! Seven of us spent 8 days touring southern Ireland in a chauffeured mini coach and had the time of our lives. My parents, sisters, and my husband and I will never forget this trip. My family kept thanking me for making such marvelous arrangements, and I had to confess that I had only suggested some locations we would be interested in seeing, and Fiona Lydon provided the rest!! Having a chauffeur/guide for our trip made the trip even more enjoyable as we had no worries in regard to transportation. Again my thanks to your well trained and knowledgable staff!! We all hope to one day return to Ireland again!
