Flight Information

Group airfare is available in conjunction with this tour $1,599, with transportation by American Airlines from Charlotte, NC (CLT).  Current schedule details (subject to change) are published below. Connecting flights from your local airport may available at an additional cost, call our office for details.

Depart Charlotte (CLT) on American Flight 724 on 18 June at 4:40 pm arriving Dublin (DUB) at 5:40 am on 19 June.

Return flight departs Dublin (DUB) on American flight 725 on June 27 at 11:15 am arriving Charlotte (CLT) at 2:35 the same day.

Those who prefer to make flight arrangements outside of the group flights above please take note.  You must be at Dublin airport at 5:30 am (very early on June 19) to meet the driver and arriving guest to join this tour.  At the conclusion of the tour, you may utilize transportation to the Dublin airport with the group. Please book your return flight after 11:15am to ensure ample time for check in procedures.  Please provide flight details as early as possible to Isle Inn Tours.  Optional Pre-Night Accommodations are available,  please ask for details.

 

Our Expected Itinerary

Departure Day
Tuesday, June 18th

Depart on your overnight flight from the US to Dublin, Ireland.  Details will be known before September 2023.  Optional Group air also includes transportation from Dublin Airport to Waterford on the day of arrival and from Trim Castle Hotel to Dublin Airport on the day of departure. Those not participating in the group air may utilize the transportation provided participant is at Dublin airport when the group is ready to depart.

Pre-nights or post-nights can be booked if you would like to extend your tour or start early to make sure you are well rested when the group tour begins. Should you avail of early/late stay, you will be responsible for making your way to/from the airport to the hotel.

Day 1
Wednesday, June 19

Céad míle fáilte! Upon arrival at Dublin Airport we will be met by our knowledgeable and entertaining Irish driver/guide and escorted to our waiting coach for the start of the tour. We’ll pass through lush green countryside, picturesque villages, and ancient landmarks, soaking in the essence of Ireland’s rich history and captivating beauty as we make our way to the historic city of Waterford. Enjoy guaranteed early check-in and breakfast at the hotel. After some time to relax we’ll visit the renowned House of Waterford, where master artisans have been creating exquisite crystal pieces for centuries. Tonight, we’ll gather for a delightful welcome dinner at the hotel’s charming restaurant.

Day 2
Thursday, June 20th

After breakfast we’ll embark on a picturesque day trip to the enchanting city of Kilkenny. Known for its medieval charm, historical landmarks, and vibrant atmosphere. We’ll visit Kilkenny Castle, dating back to the 12th century. Listen to the tales of medieval knights and noble families that once roamed these hallowed halls during our guided tour of the castle. Enjoy free time to explore Kilkenny at leisure. Wander through its charming streets lined with traditional Irish shops, boutiques, and quaint cafes or stop by the famous Kilkenny Design Centre to find a special Irish souvenir. Return to Waterford, for a guided walking tour through the cobbled streets. Marvel at the exquisite architecture, including remnants of the medieval city walls while hearing fascinating tales of Waterford’s ancient origins. As the evening sets in, take your pick from the city’s diverse dining options.

Day 3
Friday, June 21st

We depart from Waterford today leaving behind the stunning scenery and medieval charm of Ireland’s oldest city. As we drive through the beautiful countryside, keep an eye out for the ever-changing landscapes, from rolling hills to dramatic coastal views. Our first stop on this memorable journey is the poignant Choctaw Monument in Midleton, County Cork. This monument stands as a symbol of the deep connection between the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the Irish during the Great Famine. Continuing our adventure, we arrive in Cork City, Ireland’s second-largest city and a vibrant hub of culture and commerce. Make a special stop at the renowned English Market. Established in 1788, this covered market is a culinary treasure trove, offering an array of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and delectable treats. Next we head to Sneem and enjoy the scenic drive along Ireland’s famous Wild Atlantic Way, a route renowned for its breathtaking coastal vistas and rugged beauty. As the day winds down, we arrive in the quaint village of Sneem, nestled between mountains and the sea. Here, we’ll end our day with a delightful dinner at the hotel.

Day 4
Saturday, June 22nd

Our first stop today is the Kissane Sheep Farm, a working farm nestled amid the enchanting hills of Killarney. Here, we’ll have the unique opportunity to experience traditional Irish farming life. We’ll spend time in the town of Killarney where you’ll have free time to explore the delightful shops. On our way back to Sneem, we embark on the highlight of our day trip—the renowned Ring of Kerry. This spectacular driving route winds through some of Ireland’s most awe-inspiring landscapes, showcasing rugged mountains, shimmering lakes, and dramatic coastal cliffs. As we travel along the winding roads, be sure to keep your camera ready to capture the breathtaking scenery that unfolds around every bend. we’ll make strategic stops, allowing you to step out and fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Ring of Kerry.

Day 5
Sunday, June 23rd

Our first stop today takes us to the fascinating Foynes Flying Boat Museum, located on the banks of the River Shannon. Discover the captivating history of aviation as we learn about the era of the flying boats that once connected Ireland with the world. We’ll also enjoy a delightful Irish coffee demonstration. Learn about the origins of this iconic Irish beverage, which was first created in Foynes for weary travelers back in the 1940s. In the afternoon, we journey to the delightful Bunratty Folk Park, a living museum that transports you back in time to experience Irish village life from the 19th century. Stroll through the charming streets, lined with authentic thatched-roof cottages, shops, and rural farmhouses. As the afternoon draws to a close, we make our way to the vibrant town of Ennis, renowned for its traditional music and lively atmosphere.

Day 6
Monday, June 24th

This morning we’ll visit the world-famous Cliffs of Moher, towering majestically over the Atlantic Ocean. Marvel at the awe-inspiring views from the cliff edge as the waves crash against the rugged cliffs below. Capture the beauty of this natural wonder and feel the invigorating sea breeze on your skin. Enjoy the scenic drive through the unique landscape of the Burren. This karst limestone region is a geological wonder, dotted with fascinating rock formations, colorful wildflowers, and ancient archaeological sites. Arriving in the lively city of Galway, we’ll begin an introductory tour with a hop-on guide. This guided tour will take us through the heart of Galway, where we’ll learn about the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and charming character. Discover iconic landmarks such as Eyre Square, the Spanish Arch, and the charming cobblestone streets of the Latin Quarter. We’ll have free time to explore the city before returning to Ennis this evening.

Day 7
Tuesday, June 25th

This morning after a leisurely breakfast we will travel south to Trim in County Meath. Our first stop takes us to the awe-inspiring Clonmacnoise, an ancient monastic site situated on the banks of the River Shannon. Delve into Ireland’s early Christian heritage as we explore the well-preserved ruins of churches, towers, and Celtic crosses that date back over a thousand years. Continuing our adventure, we make our way to the Tullamore Dew Distillery, where the finest Irish whiskey is crafted. Experience the art of whiskey-making as we take a guided tour through the distillery. Of course, a tasting of Tullamore Dew’s signature whiskeys is a must!

Trim is perfectly picturesque and it’s no wonder the creators of the movie ‘Braveheart’ chose Trim and its surroundings as the location for their epic film. One look at Trim Castle’s stony outline against a dramatic Irish sky and images of valiant warriors and timid monks spring to life. We’ll arrive late this afternoon with time to enjoy the town of Trim before dinner with the group.

Day 8
Wednesday, June 26th

After breakfast, we will go into Dublin City where we will enjoy a sightseeing tour around the city on our coach.  Our driver will acquaint us with Dublin City pointing out Oscar Wilde in Marion Square, Old city Hall, St. Steven’s Green, the statue of James Joyce and Molly Malone, the doors of Dublin and Ha’ Penny Bridge, Trinity College and Grafton Street to name a few sites. Enjoy free time for independent sightseeing (or shopping). The Book of Kells and Old Library located at Trinity College or Dublin Castle might be of interest to some. This afternoon we’ll continue to the Guinness Storehouse as a group where we can explore exhibits with over 250 years of creative history. The tour ends in the Gravity Bar with a pint of Guinness and a great 360-degree view of Dublin.  Farewell to Ireland session at The Bounty bar this evening.

Day 9
Thursday, June 27th

Those on the group flight, depart the hotel and arrive Dublin Airport for your return flight. If you have booked your own flight and the times work with the transfer, or you have booked post night/s in Dublin, you are welcome to take the transfer as well. Slán abhaile (B)
