We meet our charming Irish driver/guide, Cork-man Lesley Daunt, then board our luxury coach before a stop at the Four Seasons Hotel in Carlingford for breakfast. We continue north to Belfast. Take some time to relax or shake off the jet-lag with a stroll around the very walkable Belfast from your city center hotel. Dinner tonight in our hotel where you can meet your fellow travelers.

Sunday, June 30th

Today we will be joined by a local guide for a tour of Belfast City. Explore the different “quarters” of the city to learn it’s history and charm. This afternoon will be left free to explore the city on our own. Perhaps a visit to award-winning St George’s Market, housed in a charming Victorian building and always lively on a Sunday. Experience the fascinating Titanic Belfast for a glimpse into the industrial history and the lore of the legendary ship. Or take a Black Taxi Tour to learn more about the city’s troubled past.  Be sure to drop into the Crown Liquor Saloon an architectural masterpiece dating back to the 1880s – it’s just across the street from your hotel and a perfect end to a day in Belfast.

Overnight: Europa Hotel, Belfast (B)

Monday, July 1st

After breakfast we drive north to the beautiful Antrim coast.  See the Dark Hedges – iconic beech trees have been used as a filming location in HBO’s epic series Game of Thrones®. After a brief photo stop at the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge it’s on to the Giant’s Causeway, a mass of 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns formed over 60 million years ago. Legends about giants abound, especially Finn McCool, a hardy Ulster hero. Check into the beautiful Galgorm Manor.  Dinner tonight in the Fratelli Ristorante.

Overnight: Galgorm Manor, Antrim (B, D)

Tuesday, July 2nd
