DAY 1: 25 May 2020 – Depart on overnight Lufthansa flight #419 from Dulles at 6:15pm. You will have a short layover in Frankfurt before continuing to Lufthansa flight #248 to Milan at 9:10am.
DAY 2: 26 May 2020 – Arrive Lake Como
Welcome to Italy. Upon arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport, there is one pick up for the group. Enjoy an orientation tour of Milan, the fashion capital of Italy and visit the Aurifil Thread Factory before heading to Lake Como for your overnight. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner with wine this evening.

DAY 3: 27 May 2020 – Lake Como
Enjoy views of the Italian Alps, elegant villas and gardens as you cruise with your Local Specialist along Lake Como, one of the most beautiful spots in the Italian Lake District. Then stop at the beautiful Villa Carlotta, a 16th century villa with an extensive Italian garden. This evening dinner is on your own.

DAY 4: 28 May 2020 – Como – Bologna – Florence
Head to Bologna for a sightseeing tour with a Local Specialist. Bologna is home to the oldest University in the world. Your sightseeing includes views of the Kissing Towers, which lean towards each other. Enjoy free time for lunch before heading to Florence. Dinner is included tonight at a local restaurant.

DAY 5: 29 May 2020 – Sightseeing – Wine Tasting
This morning enjoy an encounter with the artistic and architectural marvels of Florence, the birth place of the Renaissance, during your walking tour with a Local Specialist. Visit the striking Piazza della Signoria with its impressive sculptures and palazzi. Amble through the charming cobblestone lanes to the multi-coloured marble Duomo and Baptistery, before admiring the scenic view of the Ponte Vecchio straddling the Arno River. Then venture out to a winery for wine tasting and a tour. Dinner is included tonight in the beautiful Tuscan Countryside with wine.

DAY 6: 30 May 2020 – La Spezia
Head for the port of La Spezia for a highlight of your travels, the Cinque Terre – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Italy’s most beautiful landscapes. With a Local specialist, appreciate the views as you approach one of the picturesque fishing villages by boat. There is time to explore the old medieval quarter or the popular sandy beach before returning to Florence. This evening dinner is on your own.

DAY 7: 31 May 2020 – Florence – Siena – Rome (2 Nights)
Depart Florence for Rome. On the way, stop in Siena to see the 13th-century marble Cathedral and the shell-shaped Piazza Del Campo. Enjoy lunch here on your own, before continuing your journey to Rome. This evening enjoy dinner with live music at a local restaurant.

DAY 8: 1 June 2020 – Vatican City In the morning enjoy the very best of the city’s highlights including visiting the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. Enjoy some free time this afternoon before gaining exclusive fast-tracked VIP entry into the Vatican Museums with a Local Specialist. Admire the Papal art collection and observe the stunning Museo Gregoriano Profano which documents various moments and themes in classical art, from Ancient Greece through to the late Imperial Roman age. You’ll then enter the Sistine Chapel where you’ll marvel at Michelangelo’s masterpiece on its ceiling. This evening dinner is on your own.

DAY 9: 2 June 2020 – Rome – Pompeii – Sorrento (2 Nights)
Venture to Sorrento today. On the way, stop in Pompeii, the opulent Roman town which was preserved by layers of ash from the disastrous eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. A walk with your Local Specialist through the cobbled streets and extensive excavations reveals the daily life of ancient Roman civilization. Visit the Forum and peer into shops and patrician villas, decorated with colorful wall paintings. Dinner is included tonight at your hotel.

DAY 10: 3 June 2020 – Isle of Capri
In the morning, cruise to the Isle of Capri. Under the Mediterranean sun, take one of the island’s iconic open-top taxis up to Capri town where your Local Specialist will take you around the narrow alleyways to browse exclusive boutiques and enjoy views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. Perhaps join an optional cruise around Capri? Descend to the port on a funicular ride and return to Sorrento for some time to relax. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a memorable Celebration Dinner of delicious Italian cuisine and wine.

DAY 11: 4 June 2020 – Depart Naples
After breakfast you have one group transfer to the Naples Airport. Depart on Lufthansa #1877 to Munich at 1:10pm, then flight #414 to Dulles at 4:25pm. Arrive Dulles at 7:30pm.
