Tuesday, 27 September
Welcome to Ireland! Arrive Dublin airport at approximately 10:00 am local time, after your overnight flight.
Our professional Irish driver/guide will meet the group in the arrivals hall and escort you to your waiting coach for the start of the tour.
The first stop on our tour is the charming village of Trim, and the impressive Trim Castle. Located just a short distance from Dublin airport, we’ll arrive in time for a walk around the village to shake off the jet-lag and have lunch. We made arrangements to have rooms available early and will check-in just after 1pm local time. Take time to refresh and then join the group for a dinner to kick off the week together.

Wednesday, 28 September
After a “Full Irish” breakfast – it’s included every day of the tour – we journey to “The most Irish City in Ireland” – Galway. Along the way, we visit Clonmacnoise monastic site for a glimpse of life from the 6th century before arriving in Galway, a wonderful walking city with lively pubs and unique shops to browse. Dinner will be on your own tonight, and everything from Michelin Star restaurants to amazing “pub grub” can be found close by our hotel.

Thursday, 29 September
Today we experience the breathtaking scenery of the Connemara Peninsula. Stops include the Connemara Cultural Center for a glimpse of life in the far west of Ireland over the ages; see how soda bread is made over an open fire, have a go at cutting turf, and hear a story or two about the history on this very spot of land. We return to Galway by way of Kylemore Abbey, said to be the most photographed building in Ireland – be sure to snap a pic. This evening, enjoy dinner together and our first concert with The Folk Legacy Trio.

Friday, 30 September
We start our day visiting Galway Irish Heritage Crystal Center for a fascinating view into the arts and crafts of the West of Ireland. Learn how “The City of Tribes” earned its nickname and discover the inspiration for the artwork on display. Next, we travel to the iconic Cliffs of Moher to marvel at the giant sea walls. As we travel south along the Wild Atlantic Way we stop in at the Bunratty Folk Park where actors bring the history of Ireland to life in a recreated village setting. We arrive late this afternoon in Killarney.

Saturday, 1 October
This morning, we enjoy highlights of the famed Ring of Kerry with wonderful views of this picturesque corner of Ireland like Killarney National Park, “Ladies View” and Mols Gap. Next is Kinsale, a colorful seaside village and a foodie center of Ireland for a walking tour and a lunch. Then, we’ll get the “gift of the gab” at Blarney Castle before arriving at our hotel.

Sunday, 2 October
We depart Cork and journey through Ireland’s heartland, stopping at The Rock of Cashel, perhaps the most significant spot of medieval history on the island. After exploring, we continue to the charming town of Kilkenny, alive with history, legends, and of course a good story. Explore the narrow lanes and on a fun-filled walking tour. This evening we’ll share a meal, and a perhaps a few songs, in the hotel.

Monday, 3 October
Our journey takes us through the garden county of Wicklow today as we enjoy the peaceful nature of Glendalough and Powerscourt. We’ll have time to wander through the sights and enjoy the beautiful setting. We continue on to Dublin and the bustling streets of the Capital. Take time this evening to explore Grafton Street or pop in to a pub in Temple Bar.

Tuesday, 4 October
Enjoy a sightseeing tour around Dublin City and the elegant Georgian squares and houses, colorful parks, and bustling shopping areas. We’ll enter Trinity College library and the breathtaking “long room” as we view the Book of Kells, This afternoon we’ve left time to explore your interests on your own. Tonight, one last dinner and music session together in Ireland.

Wednesday, 5 October
Early breakfast this morning to arrive at the airport with ample time for check-in, security and entry requirements.
The coach will transport you to the airport in time for your 9:20 AM flight to the USA. Please note, all USA entry requirements (Passport, Customs, TSA formalities) are conducted prior to departure from Dublin so you arrive in the USA as a “domestic” passenger. As such, we will have an early departure from the hotel to ensure ample time for check-in procedures, security clearance, and USA entry requirements … and of course a little last minute shopping.
