Thursday 19 March 2026
Depart Kinsale this morning and travel west toward County Kerry, one of Ireland’s most scenic regions. Today’s journey takes you along the spectacular Dingle Peninsula, a route of rugged cliffs, golden beaches, and breathtaking views. You’ll pass through quaint villages where the Irish language is still spoken, and perhaps stop at Inch Beach, where the Atlantic waves crash against an endless stretch of sand. The winding drive along Slea Head offers unforgettable vistas across the Blasket Islands, with photo opportunities around every bend.
Arrive in Killarney, nestled beside the lakes and mountains of Killarney National Park. This charming town is filled with lively pubs, boutiques, and horse-drawn jaunting cars that clip-clop through its streets. Enjoy a free evening in Killarney. This evening is free to dine where you choose. Consider The Laurels, known for its atmosphere and Irish classics, or Murphy’s Bar, where hearty meals and traditional music often go hand-in-hand. Perhaps a stroll afterward to hear live traditional music echoing from the local pubs.

Upon arrival in Galway, visit Micil Distillery, a family-run distillery carrying forward six generations of heritage. Here you’ll learn about the history of Poitín, Ireland’s oldest spirit, and the craft of distilling in Galway’s rich Gaelic tradition. Tasting and storytelling combine to create an experience full of warmth and authenticity.
Settle into your Galway hotel for a two-night stay. This evening is free to explore Galway’s outstanding restaurant and pub scene. You might dine at Ard Bia at Nimmos for inspired Irish cuisine, try the fresh oysters at The Quay Street Kitchen, or enjoy local music at Tigh Neachtain or The King’s Head, where traditional tunes and laughter spill into the cobblestone streets.

The region’s haunting beauty has inspired poets, painters, and dreamers for centuries — and you’ll quickly see why.
For those who prefer a slower pace, you may choose to spend the day enjoying Galway itself.
