Day 2: Arrive Dublin – Kilkenny
Thursday 8 April 2027
We arrive in Dublin at 8:30 this morning, where our Irish driver-guide greets us in the arrivals hall. Leaving the city behind, we travel south through rolling countryside and patchwork farmland, stopping along the way for a welcoming tea and scones break for our first taste of Irish hospitality.
Continuing on to Kilkenny, we visit Kilkenny Castle, a beautifully preserved Norman stronghold overlooking the River Nore, with elegant rooms and landscaped grounds that reflect centuries of Irish history.
This evening, we check-in to the centrally located Hibernian Hotel, perfectly placed within Kilkenny’s medieval streets. We gather for a welcome dinner at the hotel, a relaxed and convivial first night to unwind after our travels and begin getting to know one another.
Overnight: Pembroke Hotel, Kilkenny (D)
Day 3: Rock of Cashel – Killarney – Dingle
Friday 9 April 2027
After breakfast, we depart Kilkenny and travel southwest, stopping at the spectacular Rock of Cashel, dramatically rising above the surrounding countryside. Once the seat of kings and clerics, this iconic site offers sweeping views and a powerful sense of Ireland’s ancient past.
From here, we continue to the lively town of Killarney, where we enjoy free time to stroll the town center, browse shops, enjoy lunch, or simply soak in the energy of this beloved gateway to Ireland’s southwest.
In the afternoon, we journey onward to the colorful seaside town of Dingle, a place renowned for its Irish-language heritage, rugged coastline, and extraordinary music scene. This evening, we enjoy dinner at the hotel, followed by the option to head out and experience Dingle’s pubs, where traditional music flows freely.
Overnight: Dingle Skellig Hotel (B,D)
Day 4: Dingle Peninsula
Saturday 10 April 2027
Today we explore the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula, one of Ireland’s most scenic regions. Traveling along winding coastal roads, we take in sweeping Atlantic views, dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches, and ancient stone forts that speak to centuries of life at the edge of the world. November’s softer light and quieter roads make this an especially memorable day.
We return to Dingle in the afternoon with time to relax or continue exploring at our own pace. Dinner this evening is on our own, allowing us to choose from Dingle’s excellent restaurants and pubs, many featuring live music late into the evening.
Overnight: Dingle Skellig Hotel (B)
Day 5: King John’s Castle & Coastal Clare to Galway
Sunday 11 April 2027
This morning, we depart Dingle and travel north, arriving in Limerick where we visit King John’s Castle, an impressive medieval fortress set along the River Shannon. Its towers and thick stone walls offer a vivid glimpse into Ireland’s Norman past, while panoramic views from the battlements stretch across the historic city.
Continuing into County Clare, we make our way to one of Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders, the Cliffs of Moher. Rising dramatically above the Atlantic Ocean, these towering cliffs extend for miles, where crashing waves and seabirds create a truly unforgettable scene.
From here, we journey through the striking limestone landscape of the Burren, a region unlike anywhere else in Ireland, before following the scenic coastal route past charming villages such as Kinvara.
After checking in to the welcoming Leonardo Hotel, ideally located for exploring on foot, we gather for a group dinner. Later, we’re free to step out into Galway’s lively streets, where traditional music, street performers, and buzzing pubs define the city’s unmistakable energy.
Overnight: Leonardo Hotel, Galway (B, D)
Day 6: Galway City
Monday 12 April 2027
This morning, we enjoy a tour of Galway on our coach, introducing us to the city’s rich history and coastal character. We visit Galway Cathedral, an impressive modern cathedral built from local stone, and stop at Connemara Crystal, where skilled artisans cut and polish fine crystal by hand. A drive along the seaside promenade at Salthill offers fresh Atlantic air and wide views across Galway Bay toward the Clare coastline.
The afternoon is free for us to explore Galway on foot. We may wander the Latin Quarter, browse independent shops, or settle into a pub to enjoy spontaneous music sessions, one of Galway’s great pleasures. Dinner this evening is on our own, with many excellent options just steps from our hotel.
Overnight: Leonardo Hotel, Galway (B)
Day 7: Connemara & Kylemore Abbey – Westport
Tuesday 13 April 2027
After breakfast, we journey into the wild and beautiful landscapes of Connemara, a region of rugged mountains, open bogland, and shimmering lakes. We visit Kylemore Abbey, set beneath the Twelve Bens, where the reflection of the castle-like structure in the lake creates one of Ireland’s most romantic scenes.
Continuing north, we arrive in the charming town of Westport, nestled between Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. After checking in to the Mariner Hotel, we enjoy free time for dinner before gathering at Matt Molloy’s Pub at 7:00 pm for a traditional music session in one of Ireland’s most iconic and beloved music venues.
Overnight: The Mariner, Westport (B)
Day 8: Cong & Athlone – Dublin

We then travel east to Athlone, set along the River Shannon. Here, we enjoy free time for lunch, and perhaps a visit to Sean’s Bar, officially recognized as Ireland’s oldest pub. We have time to soak in the atmosphere, enjoy a pint or cup of tea, and appreciate the layers of history and music that have passed through its doors over the centuries.
In the afternoon, we continue on to Dublin, where we check in to the centrally located Camden Court Hotel for our final two nights.
Overnight: Camden Court Hotel, Dublin (B)
