On Sol Searching: A Journey Through Portugal, you’ll wander Lisbon’s storybook hills, stand at the edge of Europe in Sintra and Cabo da Roca, sail along the golden Algarve coast, and sip wines amid the timeless tranquility of Évora. Thursday, October 15: Arrival in Lisbon

Your adventure begins the moment you land in Lisbon.  On arrival take a taxi to your hotel. Welcome to the City of Seven Hills—a place where sun-drenched squares meet winding cobblestone lanes, and every corner whispers tales of centuries past.

Tonight, dinner is on your own. Perhaps follow the aroma of grilled sardines into a lively tavern or sip your first glass of Portuguese wine under the stars.

Overnight: Inspira Liberdade Hotel, Lisbon

Friday, October 16: Lisbon – Legends & Melodies

After breakfast, step into Lisbon’s Age of Discovery in the Belém district with a panoramic tour. Admire the grandeur of the Jerónimos Monastery and the iconic silhouette of the Belém Tower—once a beacon to the world’s greatest explorers. At the riverside Padrão dos Descobrimentos, feel the spirit of adventure that shaped Portugal’s golden era. Along the way, indulge in Lisbon’s sweetest treasure: a warm, flaky pastel de Belém.

After lunch rise above the rooftops at the Nossa Senhora do Monte viewpoint, gazing across Alfama’s maze of streets where the haunting sound of Fado was born. Here, tradition meets technology as you’re immersed in the story of Amália Rodrigues—the “voice of Portugal”—through an innovative interactive experience.
Dinner at leisure.

Saturday, October 17: Sintra & the Edge of Europe

Prepare for a day steeped in enchantment as we journey to Sintra, a village that seems lifted from the pages of a legend—where castles crown misty hills, forests guard ancient secrets, and myths linger in the air. Step inside the Sintra National Palace, once the cherished retreat of royalty, before wandering the storybook lanes of the old town

After lunch at a local restaurant, journey west to Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point. Standing 150 meters above the Atlantic, you’ll feel the raw power of the ocean crashing below—a moment of pure awe.  Return to Lisbon for dinner at your hotel.

Sunday, October 18: Southward to Faro

This morning, travel south to the Algarve, where golden light and ocean breezes welcome you to Faro. Begin with a visit to the bustling town market—alive with fishermen’s catches, colorful produce, and artisan finds.

Step through the Arco da Vila into the old town, a tapestry of whitewashed houses, hand-painted tiles, and winding cobbled lanes that whisper of Moorish, Roman, and Portuguese pasts.

In the afternoon, wander the tranquil lagoons of Ria Formosa, a sanctuary for migratory birds and wild beauty. Return to your hotel.

As night falls, surrender to the spell of Fado. At O Castelo, dine by candlelight while haunting melodies weave tales of love and longing. This unique musical expression, filled with emotion, has deep roots in Portugal and is considered Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
