Killarney is in the Southwest corner of Ireland, and if you are flying in from the USA Shannon is the nearest airport and an easy 2 hour drive.

If you arrive at Dublin, while it is a bit further away at 3 and a half hours drive, you may decide to stop in at The Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland’s most popular tourist stops. You will find the history and architecture impressive and a wonderful first stop on your tour of Ireland.

Day 2Jaunting Car Ride in Killarney with Killarney Jaunting Car Rides

With so much to do in County Kerry, your most difficult decision may be what to do first.  A full Irish Breakfast is included each day of your tour, so take your time this morning and if the sky is blue, try an Irish Jaunting Car tour, or rent a bike and cycle around Killarney National Park, and be sure to stop in at Muckross House – a splendid example of Victorian era Ireland.

Day 3

Famous for its beautiful lakes and mountains, Kerry offers a number of options for exploring the area’s natural beauty.  Wether you prefer to drive, walk, or cycle there are numerous trails, paths, and roads to suit your needs.  If you’re out for a drive, we’d recommend a stop in at the wonderful Park Hotel Kenmare for an unforgettable dining experience.

Day 4

When you are in this part of the world, you must take one of the iconic driving tours of either The Ring of Kerry or around the Dingle Peninsula.  If you’ve decided on the Dingle Peninsula, and you have a “designated driver” stop in at the Dingle Brewing Company in Tralee.  We’re lucky enough to have sampled the always fresh brew and trust you’ll find the beer as appealing as the folks that run the brewery.

Day 5

How about a day of traditional Irish culture.  The County Kerry Gaelic Football team are among the best in the game, and a game featuring the County team, or one of the lower division teams is sure to entertain.  In the evening, head off for some traditional Irish music at one of the many pubs that feature “trad” sessions and let your toes start tapping.

Day 6

Time to wrap up your vacation in Southwest Ireland.  Be sure to take in one last scenic wonder, or grab that perfect souvenir before you head off.  Most flights back to the USA depart from Ireland before Noon and since you will likely clear US Customs in Ireland (and thus arrive in the USA as a “domestic” passenger) we recommend a 3 hour check-in time ahead of your departure.  Isle Inn Tours will help you find a comfortable B&B near the airport in Shannon or back in Dublin for your final night.

Day 7

Return to USA
